Re: First seven games

ah, I'm glad this post follows all the pinkun traditions. starts off as football, divulges a little in to happy clapper/pantwetter trolling - and finally leads in to 'you're a bellend territory'

anyhow, back on topic. at the very least, we have three guaranteed points from the 6th game. I'd wager our second away win of the season, seeing as Birmingham haven't really strengthened at all so far this summer. out of pure speculation and optimism;
W

And I'd happily take 11 points from the first 7.

Re: First seven games

if we are going to have any success and push for top 6 we will need a flying start will be interesting to see
after 10 games we will see the style that Farke is going for this season
that is what i worry about most has he changed from last season ?
we will attack with speed sometimes be more direct ?
if he plays the same tactics as last season i think he will be in trouble after 10 games

Re: First seven games

He will play exactly like he did last season, it'll be down to whether this new group of players make it more effective.

Re: First seven games

If we are to trouble the top six this season there is not a game in the group on paper which should really cause us any major problems and include getting a point or three off WBA but it won't happen unless lessons have been learned from last season.

Very few play-off teams start of winning 6 or even 7 of their first 7 games in a difficult run. I hazard a guess, anyway.

Re: First seven games

We need to win our home games this year. 15 points to stay in contention. The top two are usually there from day 1. However we vary rarely win our first game.

I Agree Hog but in my opinion we have to make sure Farke is our best bet
a repeat of last season and we need to be looking at the set up we have in place

If a defender rolls the ball back to Krul I the first 10 minutes of the West Brom game too many will start moaning that things haven’t changed unfortunately.

Re: First seven games

We've got quite a good recent record against WBA. I am sure they see us as a bit of a bogey team. As such, they don't really worry me in the slightest...
Since 2012 we have played them 9 times and won 6 of those.

Re: First seven games

Hope... that we have more goal scoring options and that we will be less naive early on defensively.
Fear...... that we don’t have the quality to score the great individual goals that Madders did last season to keep our final position respectable.
I go with hope...... 14 points.

That is now two posts on this thread hoggy where you have described those fixtures as difficult. Well if that is a difficult start it just shows how far we have fallen in the last couple of years.

Re: First seven games

I assume you think we’ll win all of those then as they’re easy games to you ?

C:The ones on the telly
D:I don't go to games but it doesn't stop me talking about them as if I did.

Not at all but if they are difficult as has been described by hoggy are the other thirty nine any easier ? In my book no so surely that makes the whole season a difficult task and patience will be in short supply with the fans as you pointed out earlier in this thread if the sideways and backwards mantra is continued from last season.
